You are "Miles Away"

My skin is pale, the sound is off and the thoughts of looking back have drowned in the transparency of water. Bleach has faded away the colors and nothing is left. My body has been molested by the bass that has taken over my mind and soul. The possession of feeling alive has redeveloped and my focus is dead on.

Undeniably, I am listening to the new Madonna record and she has delivered the second coming. "Miles Away" is a ballad that relates with my past and lyrically transcends into my future. Ironically, I became a fan of Madonna for the first time when I was in New York several years ago. A friend who is now a figment of my imagination encouraged me to give "Confessions of a Dance Floor" a listen...

This song is about values and the personification of life. My epiphany today is speaking your mind and telling the truth. Be yourself and be comfortable in your own skin.

(You will always love me more) "Miles Away" is about trying make a long distance relationship work and how one can love someone "Miles Away" but when together that love is non existent.

The "Downward Spiral" Trent Reznor references has faded and the illusions are black.

in the mix

Today is a very exciting day and not because it's 15 degrees cooler in the metropolitan area, not because Madonna's record is has been released but because Jason and I released our first Accidental Rhythm mix. This has been a rigorous process and while there were so many GREAT bands to choose from, we picked the 10 which lyrically inspired, crossed boundaries and intellectually challenged. In vain, this mix is chic from the beginning to end.

This ensemble includes artists from around the world.  I decided to choose a song on the mix that has the best remix by a popular artist. (DRUM ROLL.....)

Victim of the Crime

Everyday is a new learning experience and for the first time I finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. I have learned to never have expectations and while I thought this entire time, things would go a certain way; they in fact didn't. The ride home was silent like the entire trip. No words exchanged about future, past or present and as much as I wanted all the "neon" colors to represent something more I must walk away. In no way should any of this be taken for granted. The long conversations on the phone were beautiful like your smile but the reconnect was in fact a disconnect.

Live strong is all we can we do. The desert heat and clear sky, radiated temperature and pure air. The sky was blue, the flowers blossomed and the palm trees were a tad bit taller then I am. We spent our weekend in Coachella. Great music, amazing parties and so many lessons to apply to my future.

Love is such a strong word and should only be used when one truly means it.

Listen to Ture False/ Fake Real from "Hercules and Love Affair".

Texas Chainsaw

You hold on to those emotions for so long and then you finally let go and feel free again. This independence is everlasting; this free spirit and will, make you feel like a stronger person. After two years, a friendship can now surface and the anxiety of thoughts and pre hesitated notions can finally disappear. It is 911AM and I am on first cup of coffee, sitting here to the tick-tock of my Neiman Marcus overpriced gold clock and sending in RSVP's for Coachella weekend. I am extremely excited as someone special is coming from a faraway land to visit. This means so much more then music and will be memorable. Listen to "Take It Back" from Pink Floyd's, "The Division Bell". While Roger Waters will not be playing this song Sunday evening, it is definitely a jam you should blast en-route to the festival.

Never give up. Continue to believe in yourself and always be honest with you feelings...

loosing indie credit

You can be anything you want to be and that is exactly why I don't question myself every time I look at the completely confused and overly eccentric "hipsters" who consider themselves the purveyors of cool. What exactly is cool and more importantly is it "cool" to consider yourself "cool". I would rather be curating a foundation for world peace then to ever be living in the footsteps an indie superstar. Living vicariously though the idea of some phenomenon that doesn't exist is quite inconsequential to say the least.

Hey Willpower based out of San Francisco is a favorite of ours at the moment. The beats seamlessly unite with the Prince like inspired vocals. Lyrics as, "I want to be your magic window.. the party is in my pants" may be juvenile however the record is definitely worth listening to. Download "Hundredaire".

We love genuine artists who are not only creatively musically but as well artistically.

Mutual Aberrations Society

Yesterdays evening ended exactly as I expected. I sat on my bed listening to a voice of hope and determination as we discussed family, friends and what life would be like if we had each other. Simultaneously I was reading Vogue Homme Paris. If I rewind my evening 2 hours prior to this phone call, I was drinking a "Karma" Indian beer and hunting through the racks of the local magazine stand. Of course every magazine I intended to purchase was unavailable. So instead I went home with the excellence of Vogue, Tokon and NME. The "erotic" theme added quite a twist to my pre-hesitated expectations. One should never have expectations in life and with that listen to "You Don't Understand Me" by The Raconteurs. This album is by far the best album released this year. Of course taste is subjective but hold my hand and trust me. Reflecting on yesterday leads us to where we are now. We learn from our mistakes, accomplishments, and the sounds and visions that pass us by each day.

I will not go into detail just yet on MAS as it entails a large amount of explaining however...

hello and welcome to INMUSICINLOVE . . .

hello and welcome. . . To a cultural movement that invites you to interact, learn and experience new music, fashion and the importance of having each other. I could not think of a better title that represents where I am in my life right now then INMUSICINLOVE.

INMUSICINLOVE is a community that respects and loves music, fashion and culture. And while I sit here listening to "Highway of Endless Dreams" by M83, I stare into space thinking about all the possible ideas and unique opportunities the world brings. For those of you who respect music and dream about the everlasting possibilities one can make; then welcome to a movement for you and I to share.

Do you ever listen to lyrics of songs and overly analyze them to relate and signify something in your life at this moment in time. Do you ever smile for no apparent reason or cry because you feel a void that is inevitable? The city lights reflect on the oceans water as the sun sets and evening surfaces. This evening will define the sweat and love to two people working together and trying to make the unexplainable, explainable.

Go download Saturdays=Youth by M83. While Brian Eno smirks as many of the songs foreshadow his inspirations, this is an album that will flash life in front of your face at a million miles per hour. I included the album cover as it is very relevant to now. This photograph explains everything from fashion and music to the free expression of oneself.
