Coachella Couture

Every year we go to Coachella and make the best of our three days in the desert. Great music, outrageous outfits and parties, parties, parties. The thing that has been on my mind is the declining lineups. Just posted is this years schedule and while WE LOVE the majority of the bands, it still just doesn't feel exciting! Perhaps these same bands over a 2 day period would make more sense. The Cure headlining again? The Killers? Egh!!!!!!!

And while I sit here in Los Angeles enjoying the 80 degree heat, I can't think of anything better to do then spring shop. For those of you headed to Indio in April what is this years look?
Last year was American Apparel galore. Or was it Maui and Sons making a comeback with their 70's inspired colors.

I say go DIOR! We love the Justice soundtrack for Spring 2009.

Bulletin Board

I am listening to Hot Chips "Out of Pictures," and completely exhausted from a day of running around the city. Uptown, downtown, lost, B train, F train, 6 train; my god! A greater portion of the day was spent at the Whitney Museum with new friends and then Union Square to find our music at Virgin- how exciting!

Welcome to the City

It's been a while since we last posted. The past 2 weeks have been insane. We relocated to New York and the weather has been cold. Very cold. My mind has been everywhere, trying to get situated in this new place and get into routine. We're in Soho area which is becoming a lot of the same scenery. It's like melrose but MORE.

Danielle and I lapped around town the past couple days. It was my introduction this new land.

But most importantly we're here for NYU. Living in campus housing is taking a moment to get adjusted to. A very small space and a very small bed.

Company has been the crucial part of making me feel at ease. Dinners with friends, drinks and good laughs.

For this new chapter, listen to: Get on your Boots by U2

Heart Beats

Dale Carnegie once said, "communication is  the transfer of heart and mind." You may ask your self what this exactly means. Communication is the one thing all of us share. The interaction of people understanding each other and being able to view all sides of a situation before making judgement. Communication is understanding ones self; the confidence to be heard, to express your identity and educate and learn from those around you with your beliefs, knowledge and mind.

and, INMUSICINLOVE is just that. It's part of me sharing with you all of my new experiences though sound and light.

Listen to:
Ted and Francis (Erlend (Ted & Francis Remix))

Windsurf (Light As Daylight)

Aeroplane (Whispers)

I'm Out of Time

There is something about City Bakery's chocolate chip cookies that make me smile. For the nine thousandth time, I am sitting here watching Casino Royal and listening to Lily Allen's "The Fear." Under the weather this weekend would be an understatement; so sick!

Listen to these tracks:
Glasvegas "Geraldine"

The Bird and the Bee "Love Letter to Japan"

Oasis "I'm out of Time"

Tamarama "Sunsets"

Kite

I was dressed in all black. Some shirt from Ron Herman and Marc Jacobs corduroy pants. The morning was unlike any other. I got up, had a cup of coffee in my initial "J" mug and walked around for thirty minutes or so in my grey robe from Restoration Hardware. And as soon a 11:59 became 12AM, I decided that I may never make new years plans again. I get it, I understand that this day is the end of one year and the beginning of a new chapter; 365 days to start over. But nonetheless, it has been over and over again this exploration of having to commit to doing something "great" or "posh." So how did I spend my new years eve, well let's just use these tag words: sick, Mama Mia, kids, and chicken tenders.

So cheers to a 2009. I must say this year will be filled with many great things and while every year brings life lessons, I have learned many in 2008.

I am listening to No Excuses by "Air France" and feel this song very much coincides with the post. Let's stick out our resolutions to making new friends, to going out and enjoying the life of a young twenty year old in a overly LARGE city!
