The Balloon Popped
I wait for you no longer and now it may finally be over. All of those feelings for so long have fallen off the bridge into the dark sea beneath. As sad as it is, we were just two different people from two different sides of the city and while I loved you, I realize that sometimes as much as you think somethings are meant to be, they're in fact not.
The Bachelor
Patrick has always amazed me with this theatrical lyrics, artistic creativity, fashion and over-the-top live shows. His new album "The Bachelor" is out now on Nylon Records.

This is Your Captain Speaking
Where have we been? Traveling from Los Angles to NY about 30 times in the last 4 months, summer is finally here. This past week so much great music was released.
Download:
Phoenix: Amadeus
Fischerspooner: Took 4 years to make this one. And while it sounds like many songs have been cut and pasted together to form an album there are a few good tracks.
Coldplay: LeftRightLeftRightLeft
Green Day:
Favorite singles this week include:
Blame It by Jamie Foxx:
For What It's Worth by Placebo:

Do's and Do Nots
Just go home from Britney Spears and my god if I had Twitter I would have been writing up to the second updates on how ridiculously awful this show was. The Pussy Cat Dolls opened the night and a critique of their performance would be unnecessary. First off Britney's "Circus" show was BAD. The dancers, the lip syncing, the band was hidden which gave the perspective that the stage was larger- space she could not fill. The Virgin Mobile advertisements made it seem cheap and while I may be a hard sell, this could have been much better produced. Oh well, someone is laughing to the bank at 2M per night.
Tomorrow off to Coachella. Hopefully Paul McCartney can top this one.

Lumberjack Boy
Zac Efron may be on the cover of the most recent issue of Interview Magazine however and as much and I hate to admit, Chloe Sevigny's article on her new mens Opening Ceremony collection is much more interesting.

Sightings
Will.i.am at the SLS Hotel today. By the way, one of the worst hotels I have ever been to. Who want's to sit in a bar that overlooks the valet. I almost broke my tooth on a rock that looked like an almond. The hotel is hip but more on the euro trash side.
Update: Yeah Yeah Yeah's
Entire album is fantastic- Very 07' - TV on the Radio produced and they're one of my favorite bands.
Top picks include:
Heads with roll
Skeletons
Runaway
Hysteric

Not Exactly A Jackson Pollock
The Race is a UK band distributed though Rough Trade. Their sound is predictable. Not quite Bloc Party. Listen to: Killer
I'm sure this will be the next buzz band... in the vain of The Teenagers- I hope NOT! Seems like they got held back in high school and thats okay because if they graduate that means another record (blah)! The Race hopefully will start running and be in the U.S. this summer.
